CONTINENTAL SHUTTERS

The Banham Security Window Shutters product range has been developed to provide an architecturally acceptable answer to the growing need for protection against burglary and vandalism on domestic and commercial properties. Other benefits include heat and sound insulation, shading, blackout and complete privacy. They can be fitted internally or externally. Various operations: manual belt, rod and crank, spring and lock or electrical operations. Standard colours: white, cream and brown or other colours upon request.

Compact design, proven performance The security shutter range has been developed to provide an aestically acceptable answer to the growing need for vandalism and burglary protection for property. The uniquely neat finish of security window shutters is particularly evident when they are built-on to an existing building with compact aluminium boxes, styled to minimise their visual impact. The slimline finish even makes internal fitting of window shutters a frequent choice. The shutter is compact and of exceptional strenght for small to medium size apertures. Other benefits include heat and sound insulation, shading, blackout and complete privacy, and unlike many other designs, all solid aluminium profiles are double walled to provide higher security.

	CD3801 SOLID INSURANCE APPROVED Tested and approved to Loss Prevention Standard 1175-1, CD3801 uses a 1.5" (38mm) double-walled extruded aluminium slat, which coils very tightly into a range of compact boxes. Locking is provided automatically from the motor and manually operated bottom rail shoot locks. High security guide channels engage the shutter curtain for excellent security. Compact with housing from 6.5" (125mm) - 9.75" (250mm) depending on shutter height.
	CD3801 The slimline profile of this extruded aluminium slat is double-walled giving exceptional strength yet tight coiling for a small shutter box. Strong extended aluminium curtain profile. High security domestic applications. Can be mixed with CD38 Punched / Perforated when partial vision is required. Very compact insulated PVC shutter box with an option for high security quide rails.
	CD38 PUNCHED / PERFORATED Lightweight and compact, the attractive punched slat design is a stylish complement to comtemporary interiors. 1.5" (38mm) deepprofiled single wall extruded aluminium slat. Delivers up to 45% (punched) / 17% vision (perforated). Polycarbonate glazing option. Suitable for internal or external installtion.
	CD60 SOLID A higher security profile. Very strong 2 3/8" (55mm) deep double-walled extruded aluminium slat.
	Extruded Aluminium Slat Double-walled, extruded aluminium slat coils to a small box size but gives considerable strength through the double wall construction. Suitable where security is paramount. Finish The shutter box, guide rail and bottom slat and shutter slats are powder coated in white or brown as standard, with other colours at an additional cost. Installation location options The shutter can be installed around the reveal, internally or externally, depending on the window / door configuration and client preference. Operation & Installation details (not Garage Doors)

Rod Crank Standard shutters are raised and lowered from inside by a geared rod crank winding handle which hangs down vertically and secures on a clip when not in use. The handle can be fixed on the left or right side of the shutter. Electric Motors are required on larger shutters and are optional on smaller shutters. Internal operation is by rocker switch, external key switch or remote control. A manual override can be specified for internal or external use, but not both. Multi shutter electric installations can be wired to operate from a central or group switch. Ask for details. Manual override facility Shutters can optionally be specified with a manual override for use in the event of a power failure; this can be installed for internal or external use, but not both. This must be considered on strategic emergency exits, particularly if the shutter will be closed when people remain in the building overnight e.g. houses / flats. Installation and use of the manual override is the same as the crank handle. Installation of Electric Shutters Limit switches The limit switch stops the shutter at the correct position top and bottom. Readjustment is occasionally required after a run-in period. Thermal cut out switch Tubular motors have a thermal cut out switch to prevent overheating after 3 minutes of continuous running. Installation of Spring Loaded Shutters Spring loaded shutters incorporate an assistance spring. On high apertures a pole with hook will be supplied to reach the shutter and pull it down to hand height. This method of operation is favoured when a manual shutter is required externally, but it is not possible to drill through to the inside for the manual crank mechanism e.g. on a stone built building with thick walls.

Bottom slat key lock Spring loaded shutters include a transverse lock fitted into the bottom slat. The central key throws out locking bars which locate into the box section of the guide rail at each side.

STEEL ROLLER SHUTTERS

Ideal for industrial installations such as garage/workshop entrances. Can be manually or electrically operated. Galvanised silver steel finish. These shutters are fitted externally and offer protection against burglary and vandalism.

INSULATED ROLLER GARAGE DOORS

Insulated roller garage doors are robust, reliable and offer secure protection for your car and home. Aluminium slats lock into position to resist attack by intruders and advanced insulation and brush sealing make the door as weatherprrof as it is secure. Vertical Oopening means you can make maximum use of your drive space and park safely only inches from the door. The control unit uses secure state-of-the-art rolling code technology and allows you to operate and lock the door remotely. During a power failure, the door can be operated manially from inside the garage. An optional external override is also available if required.

Vertical opening roller design maximizes drive-through height and saves space in the garge and on the driveway. Double-walled corrosion-resistant aluminium construction is exceptionally strong. Curtains are fully insulated with CFC-free foam and feature unique brush draught seals to reduce heat loss and sound transmission. Remote control operation and automatic locking deliver the ultimate in convenience and security. Receivers come complete with an integral courtesy light and two mini transmitters with high security rolling codes. Multi-channel version available - controls up to four doors and comes with one transmitter as standard. Secure comb locking mechanism (Patent Pending) ensures the door locks automatically and the curtain is held securely, resisting attempts to lift the door by force. Choice of up to ten durable low maintenance factory-coated finishes eliminate the need for painting. Mahogany and Golden Oak Textured Woodgrain finishes.

Construction Achieves maximum drive-through height to accomodate off-roaders and people carriers. The individual aluminium slat construction is exceptionally strong yet can be easily repaired if damaged.

Design Our roller design frees valuable overhead storage space which is wasted by traditional up-and-over or sectional garage doors. There is no need for keys as it locks automatically when closed.

Insulation Our tough double skin curtain is insulated with high density CFC-free foam to reduce heat loss and sound transmission. An innovative brush seal achieves superior draught proofing.
